Rick & Laura Cozicar moved to the Central Alberta area from the big city, Calgary, after retiring and finding the romanticized idea of retirement wore off quickly. They longed for a way to keep busy and perhaps earn a few dollars, and so in early 2020 Cabin-ish Custom Wood Works was established.
The creation of Cabin-ish brought to life their desire to make quality original hand crafted wood furniture and household products. They challenge themselves with designs and development that mesh with their vision of Cabin-ish style products and the design of custom orders. They welcome challenges, if you can imagine it they can create it.
Cabin-ish joined the Bentley Farmers’ Market as a vendor in 2020. They stood out immediately! Their vendor stall easily caught the eye of many shoppers because a majority of their products are painted in bright, fun colors. They proudly displayed their quality, handcrafted products most of which are crafted from solid spruce.
It doesn’t take long to see how passionate Rick & Laura are about their product. They are warm, and inviting to all shoppers and vendors who can’t help but stop by their stall and steal a moment of swinging in the large two person swing they displayed weekly. Customers loved the swing, some even suggest a smaller version for children would be popular. The very next week they had a junior sized two seater swing to display.
Every woman dreams of a romantic breakfast in bed served with fresh cut flowers, a mimosa, and some mouth watering fresh fruit. This breakfast tray can help set a romantic mood for Valentines day, an anniversary, any other special day, or just because.
My perfect day starts with spending the morning rocking in my Cabin-ish porch rocker, with a warm coffee in my hand and a view of a gorgeous sunrise. Surrounded by trees I have many birds around daily.
Our key caddy has made our lives so much easier. We now have a place not only to hang our keys and the cubby has become a second home to my husbands wallet. No more 10 minute search for the wallet before we head out of the house.
The game of Catan is a popular multiplayer board game designed by Klaud Teuber. The goal of the game is to attempt to “settle” in undeveloped lands as a settler. These games can be expanded with added land tiles and resource pieces. Rick & Laura play and enjoy this game themselves and saw a need to create a better way to organize and store their game pieces, enter their new Catan game boxes. The lid of the box even safely secures game instructions. These storage boxes can be custom ordered to suit your color of choice, and give ample storage space for the original game and multiple expansions.
